Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors Installation

NYC law mandates that building owners, such as 200 East 16th Street Housing Corp., periodically inspect and install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors within 15 feet of every sleeping area upon the expiration of the alarm’s useful life. Building staff will begin installing these detectors the week of March 26, 2018. You will be contacted in a few days in advance of the day your floor is scheduled to be worked on. Peloton Is Now Available In The Gym

With excitement, we announce the addition of a Peloton bike to our building gym. If you would like to use the new bike simply create a free login and follow the video instructions to find your perfect class. Individual Residences Maintenance

In an effort to insure that our building and individual residences are maintained properly, the following services and repairs are included in your monthly maintenance fees: • Flushometer Vacuum Breaker Kit • Unclog Sink drains • Unclog toilets • Repair leaking faucets (replace washers)* • Repair bathroom faucet(s) • Repair kitchen faucet(s) • Repair sink aerator(s) • Receptacle outlet-electric • CO2/Smoke alarm installation (Alarm will be billed at cost) • Installation of Window guard – standard size *It will be the Shareholder’s expense to purchase any materials needed. Laundry Room Closure

Please be advised that the laundry room will be closed Monday, January 29th, 2018 from 9:00am – 3:0pm for the cleaning and maintenance of the dryers. Please inform any domestic staff of the closure so they may plan accordingly. Thank You.

Mike Kortoci Vacation

Please be advised that Mike Kortoci, the building’ super, will be away beginning Monday, December 25, 2017 and return on Sunday, December 31, 2017. During Mike’s absence, Dermot Brown, the building’s handyman, will be available. Orsid Realty Company

USPS Mailbox located on 3rd Avenue and 16th St.

Management has been advised that the USPS mailbox located on 3rd Avenue and 16th Street has been compromised. The United States Postal Inspection Service (or IS Postal Police) has already commenced an investigation. At this time we recommend that you consider using a different USPS mailbox, especially during this holiday season. Please note that we may or may not receive any additional information about the investigation. However we will pass on whatever information that is received if or whenever possible. 2017 Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks

With the 4th of July holiday approaching please note the following rules for the use of the rooftop to view the fireworks celebration: • No Chairs or Blankets • No Pets • No Smoking • No Food or Drink • Due to the roofing surface and membrane no heels will be allowed; all shoes must be flats, sandals, sneakers, etc. • Guests must be accompanied by a resident/shareholder at all times. • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. • Access to the roof will be from 8:30 P.M. until the end of the show. • Fireworks begin at approx. 9:25 P.M. Secondhand Smoke

Recent complaints of secondhand smoke from building residents have been received by Management and the Board. We kindly ask any residents who smoke, or permit others to smoke while in their apartment, to be courteous of their neighbors and consider measures that will reduce the spread and impact of secondhand smoke on others. Options include the installation of weather-stripping around your front door, sealing any holes or cracks, which Mike Kortoci can assist with, and the use of an air purifier in your home.
