Secondhand Smoke

Recent complaints of secondhand smoke from building residents have been received by Management and the Board. We kindly ask any residents who smoke, or permit others to smoke while in their apartment, to be courteous of their neighbors and consider measures that will reduce the spread and impact of secondhand smoke on others.

Options include the installation of weather-stripping around your front door, sealing any holes or cracks, which Mike Kortoci can assist with, and the use of an air purifier in your home.

While 200 East 16th Street is not a smoke-free building, in keeping with the cooperative’s governing documents, smoking is never allowed in a common area or hallway and we ask for your cooperation and understanding as we strive to make the building as comfortable as possible for all who call 200 East 16th Street home.

Thank you.
